Inhouse Counsel Whatsapp Group
A group of us IP attorneys are starting a community for inhouse counsel who want to learn how to use AI well in their daily work. AI is already transforming how legal work gets done, and execution is no longer the bottleneck. Improved results will not only show up for the individual via legal work product, but whole organizational structures & expectations may need to be rebuilt around workflows enabled by AI. For example, counsel may now need to spend time coordinating agents (adjust prompts, providing context) to do work they couldn’t do before.
This group is for:
- In-house IP counsel curious about AI
- Attorneys experimenting with tools but trying to make them stick in their workflow
- Early adopters who want to compare notes with peers

What makes this community different
- Everyone in the group works in IP / patent law
- We focus on real workflows, not AI theory
- Members share what actually works (and what doesn’t) in day-to-day patent practice
Members will also have access to
- A playground of your public patent data to experiment with AI workflows
- A growing library of prompts and starter workflows
- Occasional small community dinners so people can connect in person
A few other thoughts
I know I’ve intentionally excluded “outside counsel” aka law firm attorneys from this invite. Many of you are my dear friends and are some of the most creative, AI-forward ahead-of-the-curve folks that I know! But, my experience has been that in-house folks speak more freely among other in-house folks.
Also, even though I spent most of my legal career at Meta, I realize that as the CEO of ArcPrime, I technically count as a vendor in this space.
But the intention here is genuinely to build a learning community first. ArcPrime will contribute infrastructure, data access, and lessons learned from building AI systems at scale, but this group is about sharing and learning, not selling.
For those of you who know me, you know my passion for doing great work, the industry, and how it evolves with AI’s influence. Facilitating such a group allows me to share this passion with all of the bright minds out there.
We’ll keep the group small and high quality so conversations stay useful.
If you’re an in-house patent counsel interested in exploring AI with peers, feel free to DM me / comment.
A great group is already forming (likely via Whatsapp/Discord), and we’d love to add a few more thoughtful voices.
